Background

The application for planning approval for the development of the Asda site has been submitted. It is available to be reviewed on the Council website - Application Number BH2007/03454. It is a very large series of documents and it requires extensive amount of time to look at it, let alone read them! We strongly suggest you take a look. The size of the development and its visual impact on views around Kemp Town is very significant and the potential to overpopulate our area with all the attendant issues should be fully appreciated.

The developers website is www.brightonmarinaregeneration.com. They can also be contacted on 0800 0327620.

Sign the Petition!

A new forum for raising awareness of the Marina issues is at www.savebrighton.com. This is a cross Brighton site specifically to object to the development. A Downing Street e-petition has been approved and is now available on: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/savebrighton/. Please sign it now – it just takes a minute or two - and encourage your partner, spouse and all your friends, neighbours and relatives to do the same. It can be signed by anyone resident in the UK , regardless of nationality, and all British citizens wherever they are living.
