A dozen players of the BYO String Ensemble came to give an early evening concert on Saturday 8 February, continuing an association with KTS that began in 2017. An audience of over 100 enjoyed a diverse programme of works by Brighton composer Ian Copley, Vivaldi (a concerto for 2 cellos), Dvorak and Telemann (his little-known Don Quixote suite). There was some exceptionally talented music making on display as the young players handled challenging material with sophistication. Their mentor Andy Sherwood, BYO’s conductor for 26 years, guided us through the programme with a light touch.
